A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
SUBMIT AN HISTORIC PRESERVATION GRANT APPLI-
CATION TO THE I'EbERA. GOVERNMENT.

WHEREAS, the Director of the Planning Department was
requested to submit information concerning property in the City
of Miami which would qualify for an historic preservation grant
from the Federal Government; and
WHEREAS, five Miami structures were submitted to the
National Park Service by local historical associations for
inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places; and
WHEREAS, a preliminary proposal for the Coconut Grove
Master Plan has identified a key site within the Grove that, if
acquired as a City Park, could serve as a relocation site for
endangered historic structures; and
WHEREAS, historical structures would be appropriate
for a bicentennial project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
submit an historic preservation grant application to the Federal
Government, including the attached listing of key structures.
