Aro A RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO HURST PERA- FORMANCE, INCa FOR FURNISHING ONE (1) POWER RESCUE TOOL KNOWN AS "JAWS OP LIFE" FOR USE EY THE RESCUE DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OP FIRE AT A TOTAL COST OF $4,160.00; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DIVISION TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR SAME, AFTER FIRST HAVING DETERMINED THAT FUNDS BUDGETED FOR THIS PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE. WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received June 4, 1974 for furnishing one (1) Power Rescue Tool known as "Jaws of Life" for use by the Rescue Division of the Department of Fire; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to Nine (9) potential suppliers and two (2) bids were received; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of Hurst Performance, Inc be accepted at a total cost of $4,160.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The bid received June 4, 1974 for furnishing one (1) Fire Rescue Tool known as "Jaws of Life" for use by the Department of Fire from Hurst Performance, Inc. is accepted at a total cost of $4,160.00. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Purchasing Division to issue a purchase order for same, after first having determined that funds budgeted for this purpose are available.
