RESOLUTION No.1
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID OP CENTRAL
OIL ASPHALT CORP. FOR PUNISHING EMULSIFIED
ASPHALT, AS REQUIRED, FOR USE BY THE
OPERATIONS DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF
PUBLIC WORKS FOR THE PERIOD FROM DULY L,
1974 THROUGH DUNE 30, 1975, IN THE AMOUNT
OF 300 PER GALLON WITH AN ESCALATION
CLAUSE, AT AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $90,000.00;
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT
THE PURCHASING DIVISION TO ISSUE PURCHASE
ORDERS AS REQUIRED,AFTER FIRST HAVING
DETERMINED THAT FUNDS BUDGETED FOR THIS
PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were
received May 21, 1974 for furnishing emulsified asphalt, as
required, for use by the Operations Division of the Department
of Public Works for the period from July 1, 1974 through June
30, 1975; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to fourteen (14) poten-
tial suppliers and three (3) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of
Central Oil Asphalt Corp. be accepted in the amount of 300 per
gallon with an escalation clause, at an amount not to exceed
$90,000.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the bid received on May 21, 1974 from
Central Oil Asphalt Corp. for furnishing emulsified asphalt, as
required, for use by the Operations Division of the Department
of Public Works for the period from July 1, 1974 through June
30, 1975, is hereby accepted at an amount not to exceed $90,000.00.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized
to instruct the Purchasing Divieion to issue Purchase Orders as
required, after first having determined that funds budgeted
for this purpose are available.
