A RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO LAMAR
UNIFORMS, INC. FOR FURNISHING UNIFORMS
AS REQUIRED FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
FOR THE PERIOD FROM THE DATE OF AWARD
TO SEPFEMPER 300 1975 AT AN ESTIMATED
COST OF $144,000.00, AT THE UNIT PRICES
AS PER THE ATTACHED TABULATION SHEETS;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT
THE PURCHASING DIVISION TO ISSUE PURCHASE
ORDERS, AS NECESSARY, AFTER FIRST HAVING
DETERMINED THAT FUNDS BUDGETED FOR THIS
PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE.
RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were
received May 31, 1974 for furnishing uniforms as required for
the Police Department for the period from the date of award to
September 30, 1975; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twelve (12)
potential suppliers and three (3) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of
Lamar Uniforms, Inc. which was the lowest and best bid be accepted
at an estimated cost of $144,000.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid received May 31, 1974 for furnishing
uniforms, as required, for the Police Department for the period
from date of award to September 30, 1975 at an estimated cost
of $144,000.00 by Lamar Uniforms, Inc. is hereby accepted as per
the attached tabulation sheets.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
instruct the Purchasing Division to issue purchase orders,
