A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING .AND DIRECTING THE
CITY MANAGED TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH
THE RALTIMOttE BASEBALL CLUB FOR THE PUR-
POSE OF HOLDING REGULARLY SCHEDULED
BASEBALL GAMES, EXI IB1 'ION GAMES AND PRAC-
TICE SESSION'S OF THE MIAMI ORIOLES AT THE
MIAMI STADIUM FOR THE PERIOD NOVEMBER I,
1973 THRU OCTOBER 31, 1974.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami owns and operates the facility known as
the Miami Baseball Stadium; and
WHEREAS, the Baltimore Baseball Club operates a baseball team in
the Florida State League known as the Miami Orioles; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami entered into an Agreement with the Balti-
more Baseball Club for the period April 7, 1968, or at the end of the
Baltimore Training Season, whichever date is later, through October 31, 1968,
or at the end of the Baseball Season, whichever date is earlier, and for a like
period thereafter each year through October 31, 1973, which is now expired.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
execute an agreement with the Baltimore Baseball Club for the purpose of
holding regularly scheduled baseball games, exhibition games and practice
sessions of the Miami Orioles at the Miami Stadium for the period November 1,
1973 thru October 31, 1974.
