A RESOLUTION RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING
THE ACTION OF THE CITY MANAGER IN
MAKING APPLICATION TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL
PROTECTION AGENCY FOR A FEDERAL RE-
IMBURSABLE GRANT UNDER PUBLIC LAW
NO. 92�500 FOR THE GROVE SANITARY SEWER
IMPROVEMENT SR-5257 AND AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO PROVIDE
WHATEVER INFORMATION IS NECESSARY TO
APPLY FOR A FEDERAL REIMBURSABLE GRANT
FOR THE GROVE SANITARY SEWER IMPROVE-
MENT SR-5257 AS REQUESTED BY THE
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY IN
ATLANTA, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, on October 17, 1973 the City submitted
75 projects for Federal Reimbursable Grants including the
Grove Sanitary Sewer Improvement SR-5257; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami had not previously re-
quested funds from the Environmental Protection Agency
although local HUD Grants had been approved for minor parts
of this project; and
WHEREAS, the Environmental Protection Agency in
Atlanta, Ga., has requested additional specific information
in order to consider this project for a Federal Reimbursable
Grant; and
WHEREAS, the City has requested $ 658,600 in Federal
Grants for this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The prior actions of the City Manager
are hereby ratified and confirmed.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized
and directed to submit to the Environmental Protection Agency

whatever information is necessary to secure for the City of
Miami Federal Funds to which it is entitled under Public
Law 92-500.
