A RESOLVJXON APPROVING IN CONCEPT
IMPROVEMENT AND 8EAUTI?ICATION OP
S. Mr, STN STREET, WITHIN THE CITY OF
MIAMI, AS PROPOSED BY THE LATIN
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, THE CUBAN CUL-
TURAL ?OUNDATION, AND THIRD CENTURY
U. S. A.
WHEREAS, S. W. 8th Street has, by virtue of the
efforts and business acumen of Latin American citizens of Miami,
become a thriving business and commercial area; and
WHEREAS, public spirited groups of Latin American
citizens of Miami are anxious to improve, beautify the area,
and create a truly Latin atmosphere so that the area will also
become an attraction to tourists and residents alike; and
WHEREAS, such a concept is deserving of consideration
and implementation; and
WHEREAS, the cooperation of the City of Miami and local
groups is necessary for the implementation of this concept;
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Commission of the City of
Miami hereby approves in concept the improvement and beautifica-
tion of S. W. 8th Street, within the City of Miami, as proposed
by the Latin Chamber of Commerce, The Cuban Cultural Foundation,
and Third Century U. S. A.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4027day of , 1974.
