FROM DADE COUNTY IN THE AMnUN'1' or $ 3 , C00.
WHEREAS, Dade County, in conjunction with the City of
Miami Department of Publicity and Tourism, has contracted to promote
tourism in Dade County since 1959; and
WHEREAS, for the pat three (3) years, NBC has rt,idc
available to Greater Miami advertising spots on ttv "N!s'..' '1'OD \'Z SHOW"
for approximately $ 20 , 000 , of Dade County pays $ 3 , 000; and
WHEREAS, the cost i s, sh:n-ed by the City of Miami,
Metropolitan Dade County, and 1 }iu Miami Beach Tourist 1'c 'o1opmen1
Authority; and
WHEREAS, the payment for this aforesaid advert.i siny was
inadvertently not included in the current budget by Dade County and
the City of Miami; and
WHEREAS, these funds were approved as I)ac1;: County':, share
of the advertising spots on the "NI3C TODAY SHOW" i ii connection with
Orange Howl festivities

NOW, THEREFORE , 13E IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION 01' THE
CITY OF MIAMI , FLORIDA:

Section 1. That appropriations Ordinance ,t8190, Section
4, pecial Village Funds, Publicity and Tourism, Dade county_contracts,
is hereby amended by adding an additional $3,000 of County Fund.; to
the total amount of $390,000, supplementing the County portion of
the Miami -Metro Publicity Contract, reflecting a new total amount
of $393,000.
Section 2. That the Director of Finance be authorized
to effect the appropriate entries to reflect the additional sums
received from Dade County in the amount of $3•,000.

WHEREAS, Dade County, in conjunction with the City of
Miami Department of Publicity and Tourism, has contracted to promote
tourism in Dade County since 1959; and
WHEREAS, for the past three (3) years, NBC has made
available to Greater Miami advertising spots on the "NBC TODAY SHOW
for approximately $20,000, of which Dade County pays $3,000; and
WHEREAS, the cost is shared by the City of Miami,
Metropolitan Dade County, and the Miami Beach Tourist Development
Authority; and
WHEREAS, the payment for this aforesaid advertising was
inadvertently not included in the current budget by Dade County and
the City of Miami; and
WHEREAS, these funds were approved as Dade County's share
of the advertising spots on the "NBC TODAY SHOW" in connection with
Orange Bowl festivities and the money was allocated by Dade County
on March 18, 1974 (see Dade County Resolution 4R-266-74) ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI. , FLORIDA:
Section 1. That appropriations Ordinance 48190, Section
4, Special Millage Funds. Publicity and Tourism, Dad2 Count Contracts,
is hereby amended by adding an additiona]. $3,000 of. County funds to
the total amount of $390,000, supplementing the County portion of
the Miami -Metro Publicity Contract, reflecting a new total amount
of $393,000.
Section 2. That the Director of Finance be authorized
to effect the appropriate entries to reflect the additional sums
received from Dade County in the amount of $3•,000.
