HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-08266N, 047 MC:gg 5/21/74 ORDINANCE No. soc, 0 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF "SLOW PITCH LEAGUES"; A $100.00 ENTRY FEE TO BE PAID TO THE CITY OF MIAMI IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER FEES; WAIVING ALL OTHER CHARGES AS REQUIRED IN ORDINANCE No. 8243; DECLARING THIS ORDINANCE TO BE AN EMERGENCY MEASURE AND DISPENSING WITH THE REQUIREMENT OF READING THE SAME ON TWO SEPARATE DAYS BY A VOTE OF NOT LESS THAN FOUR FIFTHS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. That "Slow Pitch Leagues" are hereby authorized in the City of Miami and that each team is to pay a $100.00 entry fee to the City of Miami in lieu of all other charges required in Ordinance No. 8243. Section 2. It is the intention of the City Commission and it is hereby ordained that the provisions of this Ordinance shall become and be made a part of the Code of the City of Miami; that the Sections of this Ordinance may be renumbered or relettered to accomplish such intention; and that the word "Ordinance" may be changed to "Section", "Article" or other appropriate word. Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby de 1a r..d to be an emer- gency measure on the grounds of urgent public need for the pre- servation of peace, health, safety and property in the City of Miami, Section 4. The requirement of reading this Ordinance on two separate days is hereby dispensed with by a vote of not less than four fifths of the Members of the Commission.
