A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE APPROPRIATE
OFFICIALS OF METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY
TO FURNISH THE CITY OF MIAMI WITH AN
tJP TO LATE FINANCIAL STATEMENT CONCERN-
ING THE TRANSFER OF THE PORT OF MIAMI
TO DADE COUNTY; WHAT AMOUNT WAS
ORIGINALLY FINANCED;THE EXTENSIONS
GRANTED t AND WHEN THE CITY MAY ANTICIPATE
PAYMENT PROM THE COUNTY; DIRECTING THE
FINANCE DIRECTOR TO CONTACT THE APPROPRI-
ATE COUNTY OFFICIALS.
WHEREAS, by joint resolution of the City of Miami and
Metropolitan Dade County, the City Commission agreed to convey to
Dade County the fee simple title to the Dodge Island site of the
Port of Miami; and
WHEREAS, embodied in the agreement involved in said
transfer was an agreement for certain amounts of money to be paid
to the City of Miami from net revenues derived from the Port
facilities which had been transferred; and
WHEREAS, certain extensions of time have been granted for
the payment of the indebtedness by Metropolitan Dade County to the
City of Miami;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The appropriate officials of Metropolitan
Dade County are hereby requested to furnish to the Finance Director
of the City of Miami an up to date financial statement indicating
the amount of money involved pursuant to the original financial
arrangements associated with the transfer of the Dodge Island site
of the Port of Miami, details concerning extensions of time granted
for payment, and a report stating the time when the City of Miami
may anticipate payment of the indebtedness to the City of Miami
from Dade County in connection with the said transfer of the Port of

REMARKS:
Miami to Metropolitan Dade County.
Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Miami is
directed to transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the
appropriate officials of Metropolitan Dade County.
Section 3. The Finance Director of the City of Miami
is directed to contact the appropriate officials of Metropolitan
Dade County for the purpose of informing said officials concerning
the details he deems necessary to be furnished to him in order to
implement the desire expressed by the City Commission of the City
of Miami in this resolution.
