A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OP
THE CITY OP MIAMI TO PARTICIPATE WITH DADE
COUNTY AND THE UNITED WAY IN A JOINT EPPORT
TO COORDINATE REVENUE SHARING AND HUMAN
RESOURCES PROGRAMS F"OR THE COMING BUDGET YEAR,
PROVIDING THAT DADE COUNTY AGREES TO THIS
JOINT EFFORT.
WHEREAS, a coordinated review and analysis by the Chief
Administrators of the City of Miami, Dade County and United Way should
be undertaken, where they could share information, analyze requests
and decide on the proper course of action concerning any request
received on Revenue Sharing to finance Social Service programs; and
WHEREAS, to avoid duplication of work and to reduce the
administrative costs involved in properly analyzing and reviewing the
increasing number of requests for fiscal support being experienced by
the City, the County and United Way;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager of the City of Miami is
hereby authorized to participate with Dade County and the United Way
in a joint effort to coordinate Revenue Sharing and Human Resources
Programs for the coming budget year.
Section 2. That this program shall be undertaken providing
that the County Commission agrees to authorize the County Manager to
participate in this joint effort. PASSED AND ADOPTED this /3 day of 374.-1/C , 1974.
