RESOLUTION NO . 7
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID OF GROWERS
FORD FOR FURNISHING A UTILITY TRACTOR FOR
USE BY THE OPERATIONS DIVISION OF THE DEPART-
MENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, AT A TOTAL COST OF
$4,141.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DIVISION TO ISSUE
A PURCHASE ORDER, AFTER FIRST HAVING
DETERMINED THAT FUNDS BUDGETED FOR THIS
PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids
were received May 6, 1974 for furnishing a utility tractor
for use by the Operations Division of the Department of Public
Works; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to nine (9) poten-
tial suppliers and two (2) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid
of Growers Ford be accepted at a total cost of $4,141.00 since
it is the lowest and best responsive bid and further recom-
mends that the award be made to said corporation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the bid received on May 6, 1974
from Growers Ford for furnishing a utility tractor for use
by the Operations Division of the Department of Public Works
be, and is hereby accepted at a total cost of $4,141.00.
Section 2. That the City Manager be authorized to
instruct the Purchasing Division to issue a purchase order,
after first having determined that funds budgeted for this
purpose are available.
