A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID FOR TWO (2)
PACKER BLADE ASSEMBLIES FOR USE ON INCINERATOR
ASH TRAILERS RECEIVED MAY 17, 1974 PROM
FLORIDA MUNICIPAL SALES CO., INC. AT A COST 0P
$2,063.10 PLUS ALL FREIGHT CHARGES; AND
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO
INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE PURCHASE
ORDER THEREFOR, AFTER FIRST HAVING DETERMINED
THAT FUNDS BUDGETED FOR THIS PURPOSE ARE
AVAILABLE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were
received May 17, 1974 for furnishing two (2) Packer Blade
Assemblies for use on incinerator ash trailers; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to fourteen (14)
potential suppliers and one (1) bid was received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of
Florida Municipal Sales Co., Inc. be accepted at a cost of
$2,063.10 plus all freight charges since it is the lowest and
best responsive bid and further recommends that the award be
made to said corporation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the bid received on May 17, 1974
from Florida Municipal Sales Co., Inc. for furnishing two (2)
Packer Blade Assemblies for use on incinerator ash trailers, at
a cost of $2,063.10 plus all freight charges be, and the same
is hereby accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager be authorized to
instruct the Purchasing Division to issue a purchase order
therefor, after first having determined that funds budgeted for
this purpose are available.
