A RESOLUTION PERMITTING AN EXCEPTION
TO BE MADE TO THE PIER PERMIT AGREE-
MENT BETWEEN TENANTS OF DINNER KEY
MARINA PIER 5 AND THE CITY OF MIAMI;
ALLOWING TENANTS OP DINNER KEY MARINA
PIER 5 TO SUBLEASE THEIR SLIPS ANNUALLY
TO THE MIAMI DINNER KEY BOAT SHOW FOR
A PERIOD NOT TO EXCEED TWO WEEKS.
WHEREAS, the Miami Dinner Key Boat Show is a profit -
making annual venture undertaken by the City's Lessee; and
WHEREAS, in the past the City has transferred tenants
of Dinner Key Marina Pier 5 to Miamarina during the annual Dinner
Key Boat Show; and
WHEREAS, due to the high rate of occupancy at Miamarina,
the City can no longer offer Miamarina slips to displaced Dinner
Key tenants; and
WHEREAS, the City will not be a party to arrangements
made between tenants of Pier 5 and the Boat Show;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That an exception be made to the Pier Permit
Agreement between tenants of Dinner Key Marina Pier 5 and the
City of Miami; allowing tenants of Dinner Key Marina Pier 5 to sub-
lease their slips annually to the Miami Dinner Key Boat Show for a
period not to exceed two weeks.
