A RESOLUTION RATING THE ACTION Off' THE
CITY MANAGER IN AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE
OF UNIFORMS FOR PUBLIC SERVICE AIDES OP
THE MIAMI POLICE DEPARTMENT'S THRESHOLD
UNIT PROM LAMAR UNIFORM COMPANY AT A COS
OF $6..842.59 ,AS BUDGETED BY PART OF
TITS CITY'S FEDERAL THRESHOLD GRANT ADOPTED
BY RESOLUTION #73-289, OCTOBER 19, 1973,
WHICH COMMENCED MARCH 1, 1974 AND WILL END
FEBRUARY 28, 1975, CONTINGENT UPON APPROVAL
OF SECOND YEAR FUNDING.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were
received May 17, 1974 for furnishing uniforms for Public Service
Aides which is a Program sponsored by the Department of Police; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to thirteen (13) poten-
tial suppliers and three (3) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager authorized the purchase of
uniforms for Public Service Aides at a cost of $ 6,842.59
since it was the lowest and best responsive bid and further awarded
the bid to Lamar Uniform Company;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid received on May 17, 1974 for furnishing
uniforms for Public Service Aides of the Miami Police Department's
Threshold Unit at a cost of $ 6,842.59
is hereby ratified, as
awarded to Lamar Uniform .Company as budgeted by part of the City' s
Federal Threshold Grant adopted by Resolution #78-289, October 19,
1973, which commenced March 1, 1974 and will end February 28, 1975,
contingent upon second year funding.
