A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IN PRINCIPLE THE
LINEAR (OPEN SPACE PLAN) FOR THE DEVELOP-
MENT OP DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING BOULEVARD
SUBMITTED BY THE MODEL CITY ADMINISTERING
BOARD AND REQUESTING METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY
TO COOPERATE WITH THE CITY OF MIAMI IN CO-
ORDINATING THE DESIGN AND OVERALL DEVELOP-
MENT OF DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING BOULEVARD
LINEAR PARK.
WHEREAS, the Model City Administering Board has
approved the development plan and report entitled "Linear
Open Space Plan" for the Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard
Linear Park and requested the City of Miami Commission to
do likewise in principle; and
WHEREAS, the Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard
Linear Park design should be carefully coordinated to assure
visual continuity; and
WHEREAS, to accomplish this uniformity in character
it is desirable that the City of Miami and Metropolitan Dade
County coordinate the design and overall development of the
Boulevard Linear Park;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the "Linear Open Space Plan"
for the development of Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard
Linear Park, approved by the Model City Administering Board
and submitted to the City of Miami for consideration, be and
the same is hereby accepted in principle.
Section 2. That Metropolitan Dade County be
and is hereby requested to join with the City of Miami in
