A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE ACTION TAKEN BY
THE CITY MANAGER IN THE SUI3MISSION OF A FEDERAL
GRANT APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE,
LAW ENFORCEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION TO INITIATE
A PROJECT ENTITLED, "LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMUNITY
OUTREACH AND CAREER PROGRAM" AND FURTHER
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE GRANT
AND EXECUTE CONTRACTS AND AGREEMENTS NECESSARY
TO IMPLEMENT THE PROJECT UPON RECEIPT OF THE
GRANT.
NOW, THEREFORE, $E IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the action taken by the City Manager in the
submission of a Federal Grant Application to the Department of Justice,
Law Enforcement and Administration to initiate a project entitled, "Law
Enforcement Community Outreach and Career Program" is hereby confirmed.
Section 2. That the City Manager is further authorized to accept
the Grant and execute contracts and agreements necessary to implement
the project upon receipt of the Grant.
