A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID FOR ELEVEN (11) AIR CONDITIONERS
RECEIVED MARCH 29, 1974 FROM SEARS, ROEBUCK & CO. AT $1,916.00,
AND FROM CHRYSLER AIR TEND AT $750.00, AT A TOTAL COST OF $2,666.00
FOR USE BY VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF MIAMI; AND
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE FUR=
CHASING AGENTS TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS THEREFOR AS FUNDED FOR IN
PROPERTY MAINTENANCE DIVISION 1971.74 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET.
WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received March
29, 1974, for furnishing eleven (11) air conditioners for use by various
departments throughout the City of Miami; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty-one (21) potential suppliers
and four (4) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the following bids be accepted
as the lowest and best responsive bids:

and furthe recommends that the award be made to said companies;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the bids received March 29, 1974 from Sears, Roebuck
& Co. for furnishing air conditioners for $1,916.00 and from Chrysler Air Temp
for furnishing air conditioners for $750.00 at a total cost of $2,666.00 be, and
the same are hereby, accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to instruct the Purchasing Agent to issue purchase orders therefor as
funded in Property Maintenance Division 1973-74 fiscal year budget.
