HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-08256ORDINANCE NO. 8256 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FEES FOR PRE-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES IN THE CITY OF MIAMI BY DELETING SECTION 39-9 OF THE CITY OF MIAMI CODE IN ITS ENTIRETY AND ENACTING A NEW SECTION 39-9 SETTING FORTH THE FEES TO BE CHARGED. WHEREAS, programs that require specialized in::Lruction or leadership that is not available in general activities should be supported by fees paid by the participants. WHEREAS, the proposed policy represents a more realistic fee structure; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. That Section 39-9 of the City of Miami Code is deleted in its entirety and a new Section 39-9 is enacted to read as follows: Section 39-9 - Pre -School Activities The director of parks and recreation or his agents are authorized to organize and conduct pre-school activities in city parks and to charge a fee of eighty dollars per child, such pre-school activities to commence in the month of October and conclude in the month of May, and such fee to be payable upon registration.
