A RESOLOTION Or THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI URGING THE DADE COUNTY
BOARD OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION TO EXPAND
THE AFTER -SCHOOL PROGRAM ALREADY IN
EXISTENCE, AND DIRECTING THE CITY
CLERK TO SEND COPIES OP THIS RESOLUTION
TO THE MEMBERS OF THE DADE COUNTY
SCHOOL BOARD.
WHEREAS, the Dade County Board of Public Instruction
has established an after -school program which is beneficial to
both the students and the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami recognizes the value of
and the need for continued expansion of the program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby urges the
Dade County Board of Public Instruction to expand the after -
school program already in existence.
Section 2. The City Clerk is directed to send copies
of this resolution to the members of the Dade County School
Board.
