A RESOLUTION RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING THE
ACTION OF THE CITY MANAGED. IN MAKING APPLI-
CATION TO THE FLOR.IDA DEPARTMENT OF
EDUCATION F'OR TIIE PURPOSE OF CONDUCTING A
SUMMER SPECIAL FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM FOR
CNlLDREN RESIDING IN THE CITY or MIAMI, AND
FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER. TO
ACCEPT THE GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $117,120
TO BE CONTINGENT UPON FINAL APPROVAL OF
OUR CONTRACT WITH BIDDER TO PROVIDE FOR
SAID LUNCHES AND PROVIDED THAT ADMINISTRATIVE
COSTS SHALL NOT EXCEED $10, 384.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami has made timely application to the
Florida State Department of Education for Federal funds allocated by the
United States Department of Agriculture for the purpose of conducting a
Summer Special Food Service Program for Children and;
WHEREAS, tentative approval has been given for the Grant Appli-
cation which amounts to $117, 120 with final approval contingent upon review
of our Contract with the successful Bidder to provide lunches at a cost not
to exceed $106, 772; and provided that administrative costs shall not exceed
$10, 384.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the action of the City Manager in making application
to the Florida Department of Education for the purpose of conducting a Summer
Special Food Service Program for children residing in the City of Miami is
hereby ratified and confirmed.
Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized to accept the Grant
in the amount of $117, 120 contingent upon final approval of our Contract with
Bidder to provide for said lunches and provided that administrative costs shall
not exceed $10, 384.
