A RESOLUTION,ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED MARCH 18,
1974 FROM L14MAR UNIFORM COMPANY FOR FURNISHING
.POLICE BADGES, AS REQUIRED, FOR USE BY THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 1974 AT AN
INITIAL COST OF $2,827.62; AND AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHAS-
ING AGENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER THEREFOR, PRO-
VIDING THAT FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THIS PURPOSE.

WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were
received March 18, 1974, for furnishing police badges, as
required, for use by the Police Department through September
30, 1974; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty-one (21)
potential suppliers and six (6) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of
Lamar Uniform Company for furnishing police badges, as re-
quired, at an initial cost of $2,827.62 be accepted as the
lowest and best responsive bid, and further recommends that
the award be made to said company;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid received March 18, 1974 from Lamar
Uniform Company for furnishing police badges, as required,
for use by the Police Department through September 30, 1974,
at an initial cost of $2,827.62 be and the same is hereby
accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized and directed
to instruct the purchasing agent to issue a purchase order
therefor, providing that funds are available for this purpose.
