RES OLUTt ON NO. 74 - 3 4
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH INTERNATIONAL
INCINERA CARS, INC. FOR THE SALVAGE AND REMOVAL
OF THE COCONUT GROVE INCINERATOR EQUIPMENT AND
SPARE PARTS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $16,500.00 TO BE
PAID BY INTERNATIONAL INCINERATORS, INC. TO THE
CITY OF MIAMI, IF IT IS DETERMINED THAT SUCH A
CONTRACT WOULD BE IN3THE BEST INTEREST OF THE
CITY,/ SUBJECT TO A TIME SCHEDULE FOR THE REMOVAL
OF THE EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has directed that the
Coconut Grove Incinerator be converted into a park facility;
and
WHEREAS, informal bids have been received for the salvage
and removal of the Coconut Grove Incinerator machinery and
spare parts; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the above informal bidding procedure,
International Incinerators, Inc. has offered to pay to the
City of Miami the amount of $16,500.00 to salvage and remove
the machinery and spare parts; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to
enter into a contract with International Incinerators, Inc.
for salvage and removal of the Coconut Grove Incinerator
machinery and spare parts; subject to an acceptable time
schedule for the removal being established;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to enter into a contract with International
Incinerators, Inc. in the amount of $16,500.00 to be paid
to the City by International Incinerators, Inc., for salvage
and removal of the Coconut Grove Incinerator machinery and
spare parts.
Section 2. The provisions in Section 1, above, are
subject to a time schedule for the removal of the equipment.
