A-1002.1 FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI ELIZABETH VIRRICK PARK EXPANSION PROGRAM AS DESCRIBED HEREIN FOR THE SUM OF $22,025 AND ALLOCATING $25,000 FROM THE 1972 PARKS AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES BOND FUND TO COVER THE COST AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS EXPENSES PERTINENT TO THE ACQUISITION FOR FEE SIMPLE TITLE OF SAID PROPERTY. WHEREAS, Parcel No. A-1002.1 is a portion of the property proposed to be acquired for the Elizabeth Virrick Park expansion program; and WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Miami approved the issuance of bonds to provide the funds to defray the cost of such property acquisition to provide for parks under the Parks for People Bond Program; and WHEREAS, the necessary monies for said acquisition are available in the 1972 Parks and Recreational Facilities Bond Fund; and WHEREAS, the owner of Parcel No. A-1002.1 has, by agreement dated April 12, 1974, offered to convey fee simple title to the City of Miami for $22,025; and WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Miami, Florida, to acquire this property at this time through negotiated purchase; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Section 2. The sum of $25,000 is hereby allocated from the 1972 Parks and Recreational Facilities Bond Fund to cover the cost and other miscellaneous expenses pertinent to the acquisition for fee simple title of said property.
