A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED
MARCH 8, 1974 FROM BARNETT' S OFFICE
SUPPLIES FOR FURNISHING SIX (6) 3" x 5"
ELEVEN DRAWER CARD FILES, FOR USE BY THE
RECORDS AND I.D. SECTION OF THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT, AT A TOTAL COST OF $1,764.00,
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DIVISION TO ISSUE
A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THE TOTAL AMOUNT,
AFTER FIRST HAVING DETERMINED THAT FUNDS
BUDGETED FOR THIS PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE.

WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were
received March 8, 1974 for furnishing six (6) 3" x 5" Eleven'
Drawer Card Files, for use by the Records and I. D. Section of
the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to eleven (11)
potential suppliers and four (4) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of
Barnett's Office Supplies be accepted at a total cost of
$1,764.00 since it is the lowest and best responsive bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the March 8, 1974 bid of Barnett's
Office Supplies be and the same is hereby accepted at a total
cost of $1,764.00.
Section 2. That the City Manager instruct the Purchasing
Division to issue Purchase Orders, after first having determined
that funds budgeted for this purpose are available.
