A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OP DETROIT OVERALL
MANUFACTURING CO. FOR FURNISHING WORT{ SHIRTS, CAPS AND
TROUSERS FOR USE CITYWIDE, FOR ONE (1) YEAR FROM
DATE OP AWARD, AT A TOTAL COST OF $29,214.90; AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE PURCHASE
ORDERS, AS NECESSARY, AFTER FIRST HAVING DETERMINED
( THAT FUNDS BUDGETED FOR THIS PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE

WHEREAS, pursuant to due public notice, sealed bids were
received on February 14, 1974 for furnishing work shirts, caps and
trousers for use Citywide, for one (1) year from date of award; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to ten (10) potential
suppliers and four (4) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bid of Detroit
Overall Manufacturing Co. is the lowest and best responsive bid
for furnishing shirts, caps and trousers at a total cost of $29,214.90;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the February 14, 1974 bid of Detroit
Overall Manufacturing Co be and the same is hereby accepted for:
3,658 Trousers
3,766 Shirts
1,210 Caps
$14,258.40
13,444.00
1,512.50
Total $29,214.90
Section 2. That the City Manager instruct the Purchasing
Division to issue Purchase Orders, as necessary, after first having
determined that funds budgeted for this purpose are available.
