RESOLUTION NO. 74-244
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID OF UNIVERSAL ROAD
PLANER CORPORATION IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF
$119,900 FOR THE HEATER PLANER PAVING PROJECT
1974; ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF $119,900 FROM THE
ACCOUNT ENTITLED "HIGHWAY BOND FUND" TO COVER
THE ESTIMATED CONTRACT COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAID
ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $11,990 TO COVER THE COST
OF PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT
THE AMOUNT OF $2,398 TO COVER THE COST OF INCIDENTAL
EXPENSE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM
WHEREAS, bids were received on March 21, 1974 for the HEATER
PLANER PAVING PROJECT - 1974; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $119,900 bid of
Universal Road Planer Corporation is the lowest bid (acceptable
and recommends that a Contract be awarded to said firm; and
WHEREAS, Funds are available for allocation from the account
en,
entitled "Highway Bond Fund" for the estimated amount of the Contract,
for Project Expense; and for Incidental Expense.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the bid of Universal Road Planer Corporation
received March 21, 1974 for the HEATER PLANER PAVING PROJECT - 1974,
namely Total Bid of Proposal, including provisions for night work
where required based on unit prices, at a total estimated cost of
$119,900 be accepted.
Section 2. That the amountcof $119,900 be, and it is hereby
allocated from the account entitled "Highway Bond Fund" to cover the
estimated cost of the Contract.
Section 3. That the amount of $11,990 be, and it is hereby
allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of Project
Expense which includes engineering, surveys and inspection work
performed by City Forces.
Section 4. That the amount of $2,398 be, and it is hereby,
allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of Incidental
Expense which includes but is not limited to such items as advertising,
testing laboratories, postage, printing and blueprinting by City
Forces or outside vendor.
