A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BIDS RECEIVED ON
FEBRUARY 15, 1974 FROM SOUTHERN MILL CREEK
PRODUCTS, DeBRA TURF & INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT,
H. F. MASON EQUIPMENT COMPANY, AND INTER-
NATIONAL HARVESTER COMPANY FOR FURNISHING
HEAVY EQUIPMENT, FOR USE BY THE OPERATIONS
DIVISION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT AT
A TOTAL COST OF $44,954.44; AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING
DIVISION TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS, AS NECESSARY,
AFTER FIRST HAVING DETERMINED THAT FUNDS
BUDGETED FOR THIS PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were
received February 15, 1974 for furnishing heavy equipment, for
use by the Operations Division of the Public Works Department;
and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to eleven (11)
potential suppliers and seven (7) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bids
of Southern Mill Creek Products, DeBra Turf & Industrial Equipment,
H. F. Mason Equipment Company and International Harvester
Company be accepted at a total cost of $44,959.44 for furnishing
heavy equipment for use by the Operations Division of the Public
Works Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the bids received on February 15, 1974
from:
Southern Mill Creek Products
1 Trailer mounted high pressure sprayer
DeBra Turf & Industrial Equipment
1 Turf Vacuum
2 Push Type Vacuums 4 $583.00 ea
1 Hydraulic Transport Mower
H. F. Mason Equipment Co.
1 Asphalt Paver
International Harvester Co.
2 Trucks w/aerial bucket & utility

$44,959.44 be, and the same is hereby accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager instruct the
Purchasing Division to issue Purchase Orders, as necessary,
after first having determined that funds budgeted for this pur-
pose are available.
