A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED ON
DECEMBER 26, 1973 PROM PETERSON MACHINE TOOL,
INC. FOR AN ENGINE CLEANING 'WANK AND SURFACE
GRINDER TO BE USED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC
PROPERTIES OF THE CITY OF MIAMI AT A TOTAL
COST OF $3,715.00; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DIVISION TO
ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS, AS NECESSARY, AFTER
FIRST HAVING DETERMINED THAT FUNDS BUDGETED FOR
THIS PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were
received December 26, 1973 for furnishing an engine cleaning tank
and surface grinder for use by the Department of Public Properties;
and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to fifteen (15) potential
suppliers and two (2) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of
Peterson Machine Tool, Inc. be accepted at a total cost of
$3,715.00, since it is the lowest and best responsive bid and further
recommends that the award be made to said corporation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the bid received on December 26, 1973
from Peterson Machine Tool, Inc. for furnishing an engine cleaning
tank C $1,890.00 and surface grinder @ $1,825.00 at a total cost
of $3,715.00 for use by the Department of Public Properties of
the City of Miami be, and the same is hereby accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager instruct the Purchasing
Division to issue purchase orders, as necessary, after first having
determined that funds budgeted for this purpose are available.
