A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED ON
FEBRUARY 25, 1974 FOR FURNISHING READY -MIX
CONCRETE, AS REQUIRED, AT A COST OP $ 20.20
PER CUBIC YARD, FOR THE PERIOD MARCH 15,
1974 THROUGH MARCH 14, 1975, FOR USE BY THE
OPERATIONS DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF
PUBLIC WORKS; ANTICIPATED ANNUAL PURCHASE
IS APPROXIMATELY $25,000.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were
received February 25, 1974 for furnishing Ready -Mix Concrete,
as required, for the period March 15, 1974 through March 14,
1975, for use by the Operations Division of the Department of
Public Works; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to nine (9) potential
suppliers and two (2) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the lowest
and best bid of Central Concrete of Medley, Inc. be accepted
at a cost of $20.20 per cubic yard and an anticipated annual
purchase of approximately $25,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the bid received on February 25, 1974
from Central Concrete of Medley, Inc. for furnishing Ready -Mix
Concrete, as required, from March 15, 1974 through March 14,
1975 be, and the same is hereby accepted at a cost of $20.20
per cubic yard and at an anticipated annual purchase of $25,000.
Section 2. That the City Manager instruct the
Purchasing Division to issue purchase orders, as necessary, after
first having determined that funds budgeted for this purpose are
available.
