N A c F R- I 1 RESOLUTION No . % 4 f '14 MAR q PM 4: 39 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED ON FEBRUARY 11, 1974 FOR FURNISHING SEVEN (7) WATER VACUUMS FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PIRE, AT A TOTAL COST OF $1,760.50; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DIVISION TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS, AS NECESSARY, AFTER FIRST HAVING DETERMINED THAT FUNDS BUDGETED FOR THIS PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE. WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received on February 11, 1974 for furnishing Water Vacuums for use by the Department of Fire; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twelve (12) potential suppliers and two bids were received; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of P. T. Garrett be accepted at a total cost of $1,760.50, since it is the lowest and best responsive bid and further recommends that the award be made to said corporation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the bid received on February 11, 1974 from P. T. Garrett for furnishing seven (7) Water Vacuums for use by the Department of Fire at a total cost of $1,760.50 be, and the same is hereby accepted. Section 2. That the City Manager instruct the Purchasing Divion to issue purchase orders, as necessary, after first having determined that funds budgeted for this purpose are available.
