A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED ON
FEBRUARY 8, 1974 PROM MICHIGAN INSTRUMENTS,
INC. FOR A CARDIO PULMONARY RESUSCITATOR
WITH CARRYING CASE, FOR USE BY THE RESCUE
UNIT Of' THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, AT A TOTAL
COST OP $1,659.00: AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DIVISION TO
ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS, AS NECESSARY, AFTER
FIRST HAVING DETERMINED THAT FUNDS BUDGETED
FOR THIS PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were
received on February 8, 1974 for furnishing a Cardio Pulmonary
Resuscitator with Carrying Case for use by the Rescue Unit of
the Department of Fire; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to sixteen (16)
potential suppliers and one (1) bid was received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of
Michigan Instruments, Inc. be accepted at a total cost of
$1,659.00, since it is the lowest and best responsive bid and
further recommends that the award be made to said corporation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the bid received on February 8, 1974
from Michigan Instruments, Inc. for furnishing one (1) Cardio
Pulmonary Resuscitator $1,566.00 and one (1) Carrying Storage
Case @ $93.00 for use by the Rescue Unit of the Department of Fire
be, and the same is hereby accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager instruct the Purchasing
Division to issue purchase orders, as necessary, after first
having determined that funds budgeted for this purpose are available.
