A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED ON
FEBRUARY 19, 1974 FROM HURST PERFORMANCE, INC.
FOR FURNISHING ONE (1) POWER RESCUE TOOL
KNOWN AS "JAWS OP LIFE" FOR USE BY THE RESCUE
DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AT A TOTAL
COST OF $3,835.00; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DIVISION
TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS, AS NECESSARY, AFTER
FIRST HAVING DETERMINED THAT FUNDS BUDGETED
FOR THIS PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were
received on February 19, 1974 for furnishing one (1) Power
Rescue Tool known as "Jaws of Life" for use by the Rescue Divi-
sion of the Department of Fire; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to nine (9) potential
suppliers and three (3) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of
Hurst Performance, Inc. for furnishing one (1) Power Rescue Tool
known as "Jaws of Life" be accepted at a total cost of
$3,835.00 since it is the lowest and best responsive bid and
and further recommends that the award be made to said corporation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the bid received on February 19, 1974
for furnishing one (1) Power Rescue Tool known as "Jaws of Life"
for use by the Rescue Division of the Department of Fire at a
total cost of $3,835.00 by Hurst Performance, Inc. be, and the
same is hereby accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager instruct the Purchas-
ing Division to issue purchase orders, as necessary, after first
having determined that funds budgeted for this purpose are available.
