A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACTION TAKEN I3Y
THE CITY MANAGER ON JANUARY 15, 1974 IN APPLY-
ING FOR A $46, 475 MATCHING GRANT FROM THE
NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS.
WHEREAS, the National Endowment for the Arts, has thatching grant
monies available in its 1974 City Options Program for those special sections
within a city that provide distinctive character and identity; and
WHEREAS, the Miami Riverfront has a distinctive character and
identity and has a great potential to be socially revitalized through programmed
activities emphasizing the River's cultural, environmental, historic and re-
creational resources,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the action taken by the City Manager on January 15,
1974, in applying for a $46, 475 matching grant from the National Endowment
for the Arts, is approved. b
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2t day of FO 4 g3, 1974.
