A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE DID RE-
CEIVED DECEMBER 10, 1973 OF RUSSELL,
INC. IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $60,000
FOR THE "CITY WIDE - TREE TRIMMING,
PRUNING, TOPPING AND REMOVAL SERVICE -
1974"; ACCEPTING "OPTION 2" OF THE PRO-
POSAL &iTHQRZZENG ' cC ESSZONTTOE- --
TEND THE CONTRACT ONE YEAR IF DESIRED;
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EX-
ECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM.
WHEREAS, bids were received December 10, 1973 for
"CITY WIDE - TREE TRIMMING, PRUNING, TOPPING AND REMOVAL SERVICE -
1974"; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $60,000
bid of Russell, Inc. is the lowest and best responsive bid and
recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $60,000 are available
from the Federal Revenue Sharing Budget, Section 1, Item 3, High
Intensity Street Lighting Program Expansion, as set forth in Amend-
ing Ordinance 8210.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the December 10, 1973 bid of Russell,
Inc. in the estimated amount of $60,000 for the project entitled
"CITY WIDE - TREE TRIMMING, PRUNING, TOPPING AND REMOVAL SERVICE -
1974", namely "Base Bid 2" of the Proposal for a one year contract
based on lump sum bid be, and the same is hereby, accepted at the
price stated therein. 6
Section 2. That "Option 2" giving the City the option
of extending the contract for an additional year at a price of
$62,000 be, and the same is also accepted, subject to formal Com-
mission action awarding "Option 2" and providing the necessary

additional funds at the close of the first year's contract.
Section 3. That the City Manager bet and he is
hereby, authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the
City of Miami with Ruaeell, Inc. for "CITY WIDE - TEE TRIMMING,
PRUNING, TOPPING AND REMOVAL SERVICE - 1974".
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4 day of "0 40+..
