A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY TO.
CONTACT DR. S 'ANLEY MINN Or THE DEPART-
MENT Or OCEAN ENGINEERING, FLORIDA ATLANTIC
UNIVERSITY FOR ASSISTANCE IN DRAFTING NOISE
POLLUTION CONTROL ORDINANCES.
WHEREAS, the State of Florida has been the conduit of
Federal funds to be turned overeto municipalities to develop local
noise pollution standards; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Stanley Dunn of Florida Atlantic University
is an acknowledged expert in the field of noise pollution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager and the City Attorney
are hereby authorized and directed to contact Dr. Stanley Dunn of
the Department of Ocean Engineering, Florida Atlantic University,
Boca Raton, Florida 33432 and obtain his assistance in drafting
noise pollution control standards and ordinances.
