RESOLUTION NO. 74-79
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA REQUESTING
THE COUNTY COMMISSION OF METROPOLITAN
DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA TO CONDUCT A FULL
PUBLIC HEARING ON THE SUBJECT OF SOLID
WASTE DISPOSAL AND THE PROPOSALS
WHEREAS, ecological considerations are of great con-
.
cern to the residents of the City of Miami in all phases
of the City government; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami has appropriated moneys to
study this subject; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami comprises over twenty per
cent. of the population of Dade County, and will be affected
by the final conclusion of this complicated matter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
The City Commission of the City of Miami, Florida hereby
requests the County Commission of Metropolitan Dade County,
Florida to conduct a full public hearing on the subject of
solid waste disposal and proposals.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of January, 1974.
