A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS RECEIVED
DECEMBER 110 1973 PROM GALL'S POLICE
EQUIPMENT FOR FURNISHING ONE HUNDRED
(100) 38 SPECIAL REVOLVERS AND PROM
JOKES EQUIPMENT CO. FOR FURNISHING
FORTY-FIVE (45) 12 GAUGE SHOTGUNS
FOR USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AT
A TOTAL COST OF $6,264.43; AND AUTHOR-
IZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT
THE PURCHASING DIVISION TO ISSUE A
PURCHASE ORDER THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were
received December 11, 1973 for furnishing one hundred (100) 38
special revolvers with trade-in and forty-five (45) 12 gauge
shotguns for the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty (20)
potential suppliers and eight (8) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bids
received from GALL'S POLICE EQUIPMENT for one hundred (100) 38
special revolvers and from JONES EQUIPMENT CO. for forty-five
(45) 12 gauge shotguns, are the lowest and best responsive bids
and recommends that said bids be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the bids received on December 11,
1973 from GALL'S POLICE EQUIPMENT for furnishing one hundred (100)
38 special revolvers with trade-in at a cost of $3,207.58 and from
JONES EQUIPMENT CO. for furnishing forty-five (45) 12 gauge shot-
guns at a cost of $3,066.115, for use in the Police Department, at
a total cost of $6,264.43,, be and the same are hereby accepted.
