HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-74-0040MC/aeb 1/2/74 • =' • i r fAr�, y 4* Ny • � RESOLUTION NO .`rr fed ' ys A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID REGNIVED' DECEMBER 20, 1973 FROM HARLEY DAVIDSON OF MIAMI FOR FURNISHING MOTORCYCLE JACKETS, FOR USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AS RE- QUIRED FOR THE PERIOD FROM JANUARY 1, 1974 TO DECEMBER 31, 1974 AT A TOTAL COST OF $2,135.00; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PUR- CHASING DIVISION TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FROM TIME TO TIME, AFTER FIRST DE- TERMINING THAT FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO COVER ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER THE INITIAL ORDER. WHEREAS, bids were received by the City Manager and City Clerk on December 20, 1973 for furnishing Motorcycle Jackets, as required, for use by the Police Department, for the period from January 1, 1974 to December 31, 1974; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to nine (9) potential suppliers and one (1) bid was received; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of Harley Davidson of Miami to furnish Motorcycle Jackets for use by the Police Department at a total cost of $2,135.00 be accepted since it is the lowest and best responsive bid and further recommends that the award be made to said corporation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the bid received on December 20, 1973 of Harley Davidson of Miami for furnishing Motorcycle Jackets at a total cost of $2,135.00 be, and the same is hereby accepted. Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to instruct the Purchasing Division to issue purchase "DCCta'T,IEti ! INDEX ITEM NO.
