A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RE-
CEIVED NOVEMBER 28, 1973 FOR FURNISH-
ING FIVE HUNDRED (500) TOTE CONTAINERS
FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF SANITATION
FROM RUBBERMAID INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS AT
A TOTAL COST OF $8,075.00 AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING
DIVISION TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THE
INITIAL AMOUNT.

WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were re-
ceived November 28, 1973 for furnishing Five Hundred (500)
Tote Containers for use by the Department of Sanitation; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to seventeen (17) potential
suppliers and three (3) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of
Rubbermaid Industrial Products for furnishing Five Hundred (500)
Tote Containers for the use by the Department of Sanitation at
a total cost of $8,075.00 be accepted since it is the lowest
and best responsive bid and further recommends that the award
be made to said corporation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the bid received on November 28, 1973
of Rubbermaid Industrial Products to furnish Five Hundred (500)
Tote Containers for the use by the Department of Sanitation at
a total cost of $8,075.00 be, and the same is hereby accepted,
and the City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Pur-
chasing Division to issue a Purchase Order for the initial amount
of $8,075.00.
