RESOLUi'ION NO. :"
A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE ACTION OF THE
CITY MANAGER IN ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED
DECEMBER 7, 1973, F'OR FURNISHING THREE (3)
MODULE TYPE RESCUE VEHICLES AND OPTIONAL
EQUIPMENT FOR THE RESCUE DIVISION PROM
GRUMMAN HEALTH SYSTEMS, A DIVISION OF
GRUMMAN CORPORATION, AT A TOTAL COST OF
$59, 996.00.
WHEREAS, th 1Mmi City Commission, at its December 20,
1973, meeting, authorized the City Manager to proceed with the purchase of
three rescue vans for the Fire Department, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager authorized the issuance of a
purchase order to the lowest and best bid received on December 7, 1973, for
furnishing three Module Type Rescue Vehicles and Optional Equipment for
the Rescue Division to upgrade the Emergency Medical Service Program, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of
Grumman Health Systems, a division of Grumman Corporation, to furnish
three (3) Module Type Rescue Vehicles and Optional Equipment for the Rescue
Division at a total cost of $59, 996. 00 be accepted since it is the lowest and
best responsive bid and further recommends that the award be made to said
corporation, and
WHEREAS funds for the purchase of these vehicles are allocated
from Federal Revenue Sharing monies;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA;
Section 1. That the action of the City Manager, in issuing a
purchase order to Grumman Health Systems, a division of Grumman Corporation,
for furnishing three module type rescue vehicles and optional equipment at a
total cost of $59, 996. 00 is hereby ratified.
