PURPOSE OF ITEM (BRIEF SUMMARY): The attached amendment is being routed for review/signature. The API allocation from the Mayor's Office
allocation was passed on 9/12/20. The entity programming was impacted by COVID-19 and requires additional time to utilize the funds and complete their program.

FIRST AMENDMENT TO ANTI -POVERTY INITIATIVE
FUNDING AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE
CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA AND
MEN OF IMPACT DEVELOPMENT, INC
This First Amendment to the Anti -Poverty Initiative Funding Agreement ("First
Amendment") by and between the City of Miami, Florida, a municipal corporation of the
State of Florida, located at 444 SW 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33130 ("CITY"), and
Men of Impact Development Center, Inc. , a Florida not for profit corporation , located at
17610 NW 41st Avenue, Miami Gardens, FL 33055 ("RECIPIENT") is entered into as of this

each be referred to as a "Party" and may collectively be referred to as the "Parties."
RECITALS:
WHEREAS, the CITY, pursuant to Resolution No. 19-0335 , the City
approved providing Anti -Poverty Initiative ("APP") Funds to the RECIPIENT in the not to
exceed amount of Ten Thousand Dollars ($ 10,000.00 );
and
WHEREAS, the CITY and RECIPIENT, on 11/20/19 , entered into
an Anti -Poverty Initiative Funding Agreement ("API Agreement") to set forth the terms
and conditions relating to the use of the Funds for the term of
September 12, 2019 to September 12, 2020 ; and
WHEREAS, WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") declared a State of Local
Emergency on March 12, 2020; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the State of Local Emergency, the City has taken all prudent
actions necessary to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the community; and
WHEREAS, the aforementioned Recipient has experienced unforeseen delays in
their programming created by the COVID-19 pandemic; and
WHERAS, the City wishes to extend the term of the agreement for one year, to allow
the Recipient time to complete their programming/services per their Scope of Work and
terms of the agreement with the City and no additional funds will be allocated; and
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and promises
herein, the Parties agree as follows:
1. The recitals are true and correct and are hereby incorporated into and made a part of
this First Amendment.
2. Paragraph 2 of the API Agreement entitled Term is amended to continue
until September 12, 2021
3. Page 1, Terms (2), will be updated to reflect the new Term end date.
4. All other terms and conditions of the API agreement remain in effect and unmodified.

CITY OF MIAMI
ANTI -POVERTY INITIATIVE
FUNDING AGREEMENT
This ANTI -POVERTY INITIATIVE AGREEMENT ("Agreement") is entered into
this 11 day of November , 2019 by and between the CITY OF MIAMI, a municipal
corporation of the State of Florida, located at 444 SW 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33130 ("CITY"),
and Men of Impact Development Center, Inc. , a Florida not for profit corporation, located at
I7610 NW 41st Avenue, Miami Gardens, FL 33055 ("RECIPIENT"). The CITY and the RECIPIENT may each
be referred to as a "Party" and may collectively be referred to as the "Parties."
WHEREAS, the City created the Anti -Poverty Initiative ("API") to address poverty based
on a strategy of focusing the provision of support towards the City's residents achieving self-
sufficiency; and
WHEREAS, the RECIPIENT submitted a Request for API Funding to the City; and
WHEREAS, the CITY adopted Resolution No. R-19_ 0335 on September 12 , 2019,
wherein the CITY approved providing funds to the RECIPIENT in the not to exceed amount of
Ten Thousand dollars ($ 10,000 .00) ("Funds"), attached
and incorporated as Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, the CITY agrees to enter into this Agreement with the RECIPIENT to set
forth the terms and conditions relating to the use of the Funds by the RECIPIENT.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and promises herein
contained, the Parties agree as follows:
TERMS
1. RECITALS: The recitals are true and correct and are hereby incorporated into and made
a part of this Agreement.
2. TERM: The term of this Agreement shall commence on September 12 2019 and
shall continue until September 12 2021
3. GRANT OF FUNDS: Subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein and
RECEIPIENT'S compliance with all of its obligations hereunder, the CITY hereby agrees to make
available to the RECIPIENT the Funds to be used for the purpose(s), program(s), initiative(s), and
activity(ies) (as defined in Exhibit "B"), and as disbursed in the manner hereinafter provided.
