AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE II, CHAPTER 39
OF THE CCODD OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA
ENTITLED "MIAMI ORANGE BOWL MEMORIAL STADIUM"

STADIUM.WHERE AN AUTHORIZED USER OF THE STADIUM
EXERCISES AN ANNUAL PRIVILEGE OF HOLDING A
RECEPTION OR SOCIAL. GATHERING IN AN AREA, OF
THE STADIUM TO BE ,DESIGNATED BY THE CITY MANAGER
AND BY PROVIDING PURTHER THAT SUCH RECEPTION OR
SOCIALGATIIERING BE LIMITED IN DURATION AS,
SPECIFIED BY THE CITY "MANAGER WITH ITS TERMINATION
REQUIRED AT LEAST THIRTY MINUTES BEFORE TIIE. SCHEDULED
COMMENCEMENT TIME OF THE EVENT FOR WHICH THE STADIUM
FIELD :HAS. BEEN RENTED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
Section 1. Article II, Chapter 39 of the Code of the
City of Miami, Florida entitled "Miami Orange Bowl Memorial Stadium",

Section 39-25 is hereby amended in the following particulars:
Sec. 39-25. Possession, use, etc. of intoxicating
beverages prohibited; exception.
It shall be unlawful for any person to take
intoxicating beverages as defined in section
3-1 hereof, into the stadium or to possess or
to drink intoxicating beverages at or in the
stadium before, during or after any public
event held therein except as may be permitted
in an area of the stadiumdesignated by the
city manager for the purpose of extending the
privilege to an authorized stadium user
of conducting -a reception or 'social gathering
on the same date the stadium field is rented
by the user. Such privilege may only be
granted once during each calendar year to
authorized users; such reception or social
gathering may not last more than the specified
time designated by the city manager and must
be terminated at least thirty minutes before
the scheduled commencement time of the event
for which the stadium field has been rented.
Refreshments, including alcoholic beverages,
may be served by the user at such reception
or social gathering located in said designated
area provided that there shall be no charge
for such refreshments including alcoholic
beverages, and provided further that no one

Section 2, All ordinances, code sections or parts
thereof. in conflict, insofar as they are in conflict are hereby
repealed.
Section 3. Should any part or provision of, this
ordinance be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to=
be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole.
