Amendment to Ordinance No. 8183
Ite',',trdin,g Golf Cart Rentals
The present cart rental rates at the City's velrcese and
Miami Springs Golf Courses offer no advantage for a player
to take a cart for eighteen Boles than for nine. Because the
wear and tear on these vehicles is almost as great in nine
hole uscage as in eighteen holes use, it is wise to promote
the use of the eighteen hole golf cart as a better value for the
golfer who is unsure if he will continue after the first nine
holes. This policy will also increase the revenue from the
nine hole players.
.0. 1:`,' U. ' .`t.t I.l :,U1. l•1,:1
to four dollar:; ($4. 001, plus Suite an'! City taxes for nine (91
holes rather than three dollars and seventy five cents ($3. 7 5),
plus taxes for nine (9) holes, throughout the year. Rather than
a reduction of rates for the summer months, this four dollar
(S4. 00) rate will become effective January 1, 1976 and continue
throughout the year. The existing rate for golf carts for eighteen
(18) holes from May 1st through November 30th is five dollars
and fifty cents ($5. 50), plus taxes. This should be increased to
conform with the winter rates of seven dollars and fifty cents
($7. 50), plus tares, effective January 1st, 1976.
THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION RECOMMENDS
THE ADOPTION OF THE ABOVE AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE
NO. 8183.
