W}ILR1: AS, the City Commission has expressed a desire to have
the Miami Convention Center under construction as rapidly as possible: and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has been authorized and directed to
negotiate an agreement with 1'erendins,, Grafton, Spillis, Candela: and
WHEREAS, the agreement has been negotiated and will provide for
a limp sum contract to include the employment of all specialist involved:
and
WHEREAS, it is desirous to immediately procec'ed ♦with the work
of master planning the proposed O,nvention Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, 13E IT RESOLVED) BY THE COMMISSION OF
TIIE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the sum of $10, 000 shall be allocated from Convention
Center Bond Funds to initiate the work of the Master Planning Phase of the
Convention Center project by the City's architectural consultant, Ferendino,
Grafton, Spillis, C,endela, in accordance with the negotiated agreement.
