To begin implementation of the process of developing Watson
Is land, pis authnr. ized by Cit.: Com Fission Motion No. 75-1047
dated November fi, 1975, it is recommended that a project
Development Manager be retained by the City to act on behalf
of the City during the planning, design, and construction
stays of the project. The Project Development Manager's
duties will include:

architectural, engineering, environmental, and
economic elements.

and graphic_ designers.
- Assist in concept development for promotional
program and marketing strategy.

to keep the City Manager's office informed of
the status of the project.
- Oversee the myriad of day-to-day activities,

Convention and Conference Center
The Miami City Commission has resolved that a Convention
and Conferenco Center be devoped in towntown Miami. For
that purpose, the Commission 11:1:- authorived the Manager's
Office to initiate the process necessary to bring the Con-
vention and Conference Center to fruition.
In order to expedite implementation of that process, it is
recommended that a Project Development Manager be retained
to act on behalf of thQ City during the planning, design,
and construction stages of the project.

- To coordinate the activities of the architects,
engineers, and consultants in concept design and
program analysis for all the elements of the project.
- Monitor all construction for work, furnishings, and
equipment, as needed,
- Maintain liaison with a-;encies of the City, County,
State, and Federal governments whose cooperation is
essential to the successful completion of the project.
- Overall supervision of the activities of architects,
engineers, landscape architects, planners, exhibit
and graphic designs, to ensure that the interests
of the City are protected at all times.
- Establish and maintain a reporting system to keep the
City administration informed of the status of the
project.
- Oversee the myriad of day-to-day activities, many of
which are enumerated above, which are involved in the
process of successfully accomplishing a project of
multi -million dollar magnitude on municipal -owned land
of immense value,
