Public Fire Protection Report

This office is in receipt tit the Public Fire Protection Report from
the Insurance Services Office as a result of tiler recent survey oC
the City of Miami. 1 a.,l pleased to report that our Fire Depart-
ment has maintained its Class l rating and that the Water Supply,
Fire Service Communication and Fire Saft.t y control have ilr.proved
sufficiently so that the City of Miami has t,ee.l advanced from a
Class 1 City to ,-t Class 2 City for instrasce rating pur;'►o:tt:;.
Because of the change in the Cityts rating to Class 2, the local
Insurance Services Office will begin rt•esta bl ishieg the oew sate
structure for commercial properties within Lite City of ,1 i i; i , The
reduction of fire insurance_ premiums with *. ;p ci. t,t this nod ritt713ii
will be effective November 1, 19/5. This reevaluation >;•.• 11 take
:several months but will eventually show ai savings in fire insurance
premiums to property owners in that City of ntr,liL. it is sii;:lif'icant
to note that while maintaining a Class 1 rating, our Fire Department
