IMPLEMENTATION.
WIIEREAS, the E'[.,rida Department of "Transportation presented
a report entitled "Downtown Miami; A Conceptual Transportation Plan" on
January 16, 197-1: and
WHEREAS, the Cite Manager was designated to organize and
chair a joint technical review committee for purposes of reviewing the
"Downtown Miami: A Conceptual Transportation Plan"; and
WHEREAS, the i;ity Manager presented the joint technical staff

WHEREAS, the review report has been examined in detail by a
large number of citizens, organizations, and public officials; and
WHEREAS, the Miami City Commission on January 9, 1975,
adopted Resolution No. 75-22 which recommended that Metropolitan Dade
County and Florida Department of Transportation expedite preliminary
engineering studies as reiterated herein; and
WHEREAS, the DuPont Plaza area and river crossing are key

WHEREAS, the City of Miami is in agreement wit'b the recommen-
dations contained in the joint technical hnic•al staff recview of the Downtown Miami:

Section 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to work
with the County Manager and appropriate representatives of the Florida
Department of Transportation in order to proceed with the orderly implemen=
tation of the preliminary engineering program for the DuPont Plaza area and
related improvements.
