A RESOLUTION WAIVING THE RENTAL FEE FOR USE
OF THE BAYFRONT AUDITORIUM FOR THE FOURTH
ANNUAL CHRI STIAN LEADERSHIP BREAKFAST FOR
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 1975, AT 7,30 A.M.t

FOLLOW" WHEREAS, Section 3 of the Charter of the City of
Miami authorizes the City of Miami to do all things whatsoever
necessary or expedient for promoting or maintaining the
general welfare, comfort, education, morals, peace, government
health, trade, commerce or industries of the City or its
inhabitants; and
WHEREAS, the Fourth Annual Christian Leadership
Breakfast has been scheduled in Bayfront Park Auditorium on
Tuesday, November 25, 1975; and

WHEREAS, the City of Miami has been requeitia to
assist the furtherance of the efforts of the Christian Leader-
ship Prayer Breakfast, Inc., the organization sponsoring the
Breakfast by waiving the rental fee for the Auditorium; and
WHEREAS, a member of th U. S. Senate is the guest
speaker at the Breakfast, a civic effort attended by the
community leaders of the City of Miami; and
WHEREAS, the annual observance of the Breakfast by
all members of the community promotes the peace and good order
within the City of Miami and is found to be a public purpose:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:

Section 1. The rental fee for use of the Bayfront
Auditorium for the Fourth Annual Christian Leadership Break-
fast, Inc. to hold a Breakfast on Tuesday, November 25, 1975,
at 7:30 A.M. is hereby waived; subject to advance payment
for event personnel, insurance, and other costs borne by the
City.

Relative to the attached correspondence, I
recommend that the City of Miami waive the
rental fee for the Bayfront Auditorium inasmuch
as the City is a co-sponsor of this event.

Dear Mr. Price:
On Tuesday, November 25, 1975, at 7:30 a.m., the Fourth Annual Christian
Leadership Breakfast is scheduled to be held in Bayfront Park Auditorium.
The speaker will be Senator Lawton Chiles.
The purpose of this Breakfast is to bring together the leaders of the City
of Miami for the opportunity of giving thanks for God's blessings. Also,
to reflect on how the Spirit of Jesus Christ might direct our daily lives
as we continue in our efforts to make the City of Miami a better place in
which we can work and live.
The Breakfast is sponsored by Christian Leadership Prayer Breakfast, Inc.,
a corporation not for profit organized and existing under the Laws of the
State of Florida. This corporation does ne! solicit funds.
The corporation respectfully requests that the City of Miami waive the
rental fee for the auditorium for this even.:. All other costs involved,
including stage hands, catering services, p lce, etc., will be paid for
by the corporation.
Approval of this request will be greatly :?.preciated.
