A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BIDS RECEIVED FOR CARPETING FOR CITYWIDE USE, ON CONTRACT SAS FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR FROM DATE OF AWARD DEPENDING UPON THE INDIVIDUAL DEPARTMENT'S AVAILABLE FUNDS IN THE 1974.75 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET AND THE 1975.76 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET FROM DEMETRI0 PEREZ CARPETS, INC. HEAVY DUTY 4 $8.25 PER SQ. YD. AND W. P. SIMPSON CO. EXECUTIVE a $7.20 PER SQ. YD.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS FOR CARPETING ON A REQUIREMENT BASIS. WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received June 13, 1975 for furnishing carpeting for Citywide use on a contract basis for a period of one year from date of award; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to nineteen potential suppliers and four (4) bids were received;and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends acceptance of the bids received from Demetrio Perez Carpets, Inc. and W. P. Simpson Co. as the most advantageous bids received by the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CO111�fi��Q�tTjjjE` yTHNoch CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: G((�� j��� ITEM 1111):47 Section 1. The bids received for carpeting for Citywide use, on contract basis, for a period of one year from date of award be, and are hereby, accepted as follows: Demetrio Perez Carpet, Inc. - Heavy Duty per sq. yd $8.25 w. P. Simpson Co. . Executive per sq. yd 7.20 Section 2. The individual department's needs for carpet- ing be, and they are hereby, dependent on available funds in the 1974-75 fiscal year budget and the 1975.76 fiscal year budget. The City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to instruct the Purchasing Department to issue Purchase Orders for carpeting on a requirement basis.
